There are over 7.2 billion people on this planet and each year 320 million people die of water insanity. About 3.2 billion mineral water bottles are wasted in India alone. Water insanity and plastic pollution has been the major crisis faced by our country over the past decade. Dumping of packaged drinking water bottles have created massive plastic islands in the oceans. As per a survey by WHO 21 metropolitan cities in India is going to run out of water by 2025 out of which Chennai will run out of groundwater by next year and Bangalore by the next 2 years. Creating a solution to this crisis has been hovering over our minds ever since and that lead us into creating iBo.
Our primary product iBo is the world's first filter bottle with an attached organic mineral filter that can filter 99.99% impurities from any dirty water. Lamaara has patented this organic water filter which can be manufactured for just 10 Rs. and a single filter can purify 3000 liters of polluted water! This filter is the first of its kind in the market. It can also be used for large scale water filtration units as well. Our filter is completely made up of ground materials that will add minerals to the filtered water while retaining its taste and freshness. We have incorporated a self-shut down feature gets activated that will prevent further water from passing through it. This is when the customer will have to replace the filter capsule alone and use it for the next cycle of water filtration.
Our main marketing area will be urban areas. By a survey from WHO (world health organization) the amount of water contamination in both urban areas has increased to more than 40 % over the last decade. In most of the Indian metropolitan cities the availability of pure drinking water is less than 15%. Considering these scenarios our product i-Bo will hit the markets like wildfire once it is out in the stores for the people to buy. The number of working class people in our country is increasing each day, and the water provided in most of the offices are not fit for drinking. It will be much safer and easier for them to carry i-Bo with them as a daily necessity. Moreover in most schools and colleges the water supplied is not as per the BIS standards. This can cause various health issues in those children. Our product can eliminate this problem if they use i-Bo as their personal bottle on a daily basis. i-Bo will also be useful for travelers. Most of the bus and railway stations, in our country does not provide clean and safe drinking water and people have trust issues with the packaged drinking water sold in these sectors. If travelers carry i-Bo, they can enjoy drinking water from any source without any fear of water contamination.
Our filter is the first of its kind in the world to be patented. It provides more functionality at a reduced price when compared to other filters in the market. . Our primary product iBo is the world's first filter bottle with an attached organic mineral filter that can filter 99.99% impurities from any water. The filter is the cheapest of its kind in the market with less than Rs. 10 manufacturing cost.
